Congratulations on the start of a new school year!

It is soothing to feel the cool breeze on my cheek standing in the quiet school yard.

During the summer, the three Mulberry trees grew and are now covered with big leaves. They will help in creating a nice, cool shaded area for us.

All the summer crops have been harvested and we are ready to start our new school year. We are very pleased to see a lot of children returning with excitement. We are also very excited and ready to do our best. Please keep supporting us.

From Tom-san

Dear Parents,

As we begin another school year at Kodomo No Ie Preschool, I am reminded of a quote from the founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson. Dr Dobson once said "Children are not casual guests in our home. They have been loaned to us temporarily for the purpose of loving them and instilling a foundation of values on which their future lives will be built." In much the same way your child will not be a casual guest at Kodomo No Ie Preschool. Your child will learn important lessons about caring for one another, the environment and our world, as well as values that will last a lifetime as we prepare them for future educational experiences. Rev. Chow and I are grateful for the wonderful preschool staff and parent volunteers that care so deeply for the children of Kodomo No Ie. We welcome you to Kodomo No Ie Preschool and pray that you and your child will blessed throughout the school year.

Rev. Thomas Kendall

Hello, my name is Mr. Yohei Narikawa. I have been a kindergarten teacher in Japan for 9 years, and just joined the KNI family this fall. It was a godsend. I am looking forward to learn each and every kid's personalities at KNI, spend time with them and support their growth throughout the year. Let's have a wonderful year together.

Goal of the Month

"KNI" is fun.

Junior Class
- Enjoy going to KNI and get to know the teachers
- Get used to the school's schedule and routine little by little
Middle Class
- Get used to the new class's routine and enjoy participating in class activities
- Understand the routines and try to manage to do what they can do on their own
Senior Class
- Be proud of themselves as the senior students and learn how to work together with the teachers in the class
- Get used to the new class's routine and enjoy socializing with new classmates

All Classes
- Develop an interest in the animals at school and learn how to take care of them
- Recognize how the school garden keep changing and associate that with the change of the season.

From KNI library

"KNI" library's books belong to everyone at KNI. Under the slogan "We all hope our kids grow up learning the love for books", every one of you can check out the books! KNI parent volunteers are managing the library. Please support them by strictly follow "2weeks-5books" rule.

When you take home the library books, please make sure to use the provided library bags, fill out a check-out sheet, and complete information on the library notebook. The completed check-out sheet must return with the books in the provided library bag. A book return box is located next to the shoe rack.
Please remember those books belong to all KNI students. Thank you for taking great care of them!
