New Year greetings from the teachers

From Ms. Umehata:
I am grateful for all the help and kind support I have received since my spinal cord surgery last April. Now that I am fully recovered, I would like to return the favor by working even harder at school this year. With your support, I hope that our school will serve as the root for the sprouting minds of your children. I would appreciate your continuing support in the new year.

From Ms. Kanno:
Time seems to fly faster every year. This year, I would like to remember to value and spend each day with a positive attitude, and not stress to be anything other than myself. I hope this year is going to be filled with children’s smiles and laughter.
I would appreciate your continuing support in the new year.

From Ms. Kagawa:
2009 was the year of learning the importance of “being myself” through encounters. In 2010, I hope to be more conscious of accepting each child as the way he/she is and help them build on their strength.
I would appreciate your continuing support in the new year.

From Ms. Kawabe:
Looking back, 2009 was the year of change and encounters for me. It was also the year that I realized once again that I am supported and helped by many. In 2010, I would like to bring my mind closer to the children and grow with them as I watch them grow.

From Ms. Morishita:
In May 2009, I left Japan for the first time to work and live here in the U.S.. Working at Kodomo no ie has been a great learning experience for me. In 2010, I would like to remain humble and energetic as I take part in your children’s development and education.

Christmas Party

How did you like the Christmas party on December 19th? The Christmas play by Sakura class during the mass was a great success. The children performed enthusiastically despite having to have to make up for those who were absent. Although they did not get to practice much, their enthusiasm more than made up for it so every child shone like a star. During the subsequent party, all the children sang or played Christmas songs. The children were a little nervous on the stage but they had a great time as they got to perform in front of such a supportive audience. They must have been happy to receive large applause which was definitely more than in the past.
Thank you very much for your help and warm support in making our Christmas event a huge success.
We would like to thank the Christmas committee for their part in helping the event run smoothly. We sincerely appreciate their hard work.
All our staff received a Christmas gift from the Parents’ association, and in addition, we have received gifts and cards from some families. We would like to express our gratitude here for your generosity.
Thank you very much for your Christmas donation at the mass. The donation totaled to $848 and all of it will be used to support the church activities.
