We were blessed with an excellent weather on the sports day. Smiley faces were visible and cheering was heard all over the place at the ground. We are indeed grateful for the sports day committee members and other volunteers for their support and hard work. Without their hard work and dedication, the success of the event would not have been possible.
Now we are in June: it is the end of the school year already.
The seeds that were planted in the children’s mind when they started this school year have grown in their own way and into their own shapes.
I hope you have a wonderful summer vacation.
We are looking forward to seeing your children in the summer and/or in September to see how much they have grown over the summer vacation.

Goals for this month

- June 4th is the cavity prevention day. We will take this opportunity to encourage children to be more interested in brushing teeth and make teeth-brushing a habit.
- June 10th is the Japanese time anniversary day. We will take this opportunity to try generating more interest and curiosity in math and time.
- June 19th is the father’s day. We aim to fill the children’s hearts with gratitude as they create their own father’s day gift.
- Sakura class will be busy with a number of graduation related activities such as the graduation picnic, creating a booklet, and creating a commemoration mug. These activities will help children prepare themselves for the transition, and enjoy the anticipation of the new life that will be starting in the fall.

Let’s sing – Songs of the Month –

Renge, Momo, Sumire, Ume
“Ha wo migaki mashou” (Let’s brush our teeth), “Tokei no uta” (clock song),
“Ka ta tsu mu ri” (snail), “Kodomo no ie”song (school anthem)
Kiku … Graduation songs (farewell songs)
Sakura … Graduation songs for the ceremony

Please feel free to pick up a copy of music sheets located in the sing-in area so that you can enjoy the songs at home as well.

Dear Graduation Students

Congratulations on completing your studies at this school.
We are pleased that you have learned so much about Japanese language
and culture from your teachers.
We are even more pleased that Encho-Sensei and the other teachers have
taught you about how much God loves you.
Tease days of training will help prepare you for life and we are happy
that God is part of this training.
Next year a new paster Tom will come to help teach you about God's love.
I will miss being with you and getting those wonderful hugs
on my legs each month.
Please hug Paster Tom Kendall and welcome him to the Children;s School.
Shuku-fuku ga arimasu yo-ni.
God bless you all.
Paster Tom
