From the Kodomo No Ie Bazaar Committee

Date: Saturday, March 14th from 11am – 2pm
There will be a wide variety of activities and food at this year’s “Celebration of Kodomo No Ie” bazaar.
The following fun events are planned. Please bring your friends and family.
★ Bento, curry, shaved ice, juice, and bake sale
★ Games and face painting in the Kid’s Corner
★ Children’s clothing, toys, books, and everyday essentials sale　　　　　　　　　
★ New Sanrio products for sale
★ Handmade craft sale, crafting corner　　　　　　
★ Raffle corner with a chance to win luxury prizes
★ Kanji cards and hiragana desk pads for Japanese classes for sale
★ Sample/display t-shirts for sale (from Ms. Ikudome)
We are still looking for day-of volunteers and are collecting crafts, food, bake sale goods, and equipment. Please sign up using the sign-up sheet. Thank you for your cooperation. Donations (e.g.., children’s clothing and every day essentials) will be collected until Saturday, March 7th. Please email knibazaar@gmail.com with any comments/questions regarding the bazaar. The bazaar is not advertised to the public, so we are counting on friends and family to help spread the word and attend.

★Notice of Cancellations
The last day to cancel is Wednesday, March 11th. Those on the waiting list will be taking any cancelled spots. Cancellation requests received after Thursday, March 12th will not be refunded, but please feel free to make exchange arrangements amongst friends. Please contact Yumi Taylor at yummy1030@gmail.com for cancellation requests.

Announcement from Accounting

Message regarding the Interim Financial Report
The interim financial report of the Parents Association was completed at the end of January. It is posted at the attendance sheet area.

Reserve Fund

In preparation for the second half of the school year's financial report, we are planing to establish a new reserve fund account that will be carried forward to the following year.  It will help our organization provide funds for unanticipated / unbudgeted or emergency expenses each year.
The amount is not yet determined and would be based on the year-end balance and on the needs of each project, but we anticipate that it will be a small amount to start.  We expect this change will help us maintain financial stability and allow us to be more fiscally responsible.  It was approved at the Feb. Class Mothers Meeting.

Christmas Pageant DVD

Have you had an opportunity to watch the Christmas Pageant DVD that were delivered through the children’s school bags last month? If you have placed an order, but have not received the DVD, please contact the Class Mother or the Parents Association Committee. In addition, if there are any issues with the DVD, please contact the Class Mother or the Parents Association Committee to exchange it for a new DVD.

Fundraising

February is already over and daylight savings time has begun. School events are ramping up!
[ASPIRE] (Catalog sales) – Thank you for your participation. We raised approximately $200.
[Kids Art] – Thank you for your participation. We asked the school’s participation in the production.
We are planning on t-shirt sales and SCRIP in preparation for the Field Day.
We plan to offer a variety of colors for the t-shirt sale. Samples, along with order forms, will be made available soon. We are offering previously used samples at reduced prices at the bazaar organized by the Parents Association. We will also offer other items with the Kodomo No Ie logo.
