From The Chairman of the PA

After finishing the Sports Day:

It was such a perfect fine day for the Sports Day this year. All the children were looking forward to this event and it was very successful. Seeing children doing their best, smiles after each program, parents who seemed like they were having a great time, families who were cheering for their children, and all in all became great memories. This success was the result of all the help from the weekday and Saturday school classes and all of the parents and teachers. It took help from everyone to get all the jobs done, such as setting up the tents, delivering bento lunch boxes, and preparing and cleaning all the equipment and props. The high school student helpers also worked very hard all day long.

A special thanks to Kei Orzorio for building the entrance gate, to Ms. Pierce for providing all the music, and to Yuki Inoue for translating everything from Japanese to English. They are all families of KNI graduates. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Over all, thank the Sports Day Committee members for organizing the event. They had meetings before the spring break, organized the volunteers into groups for each program, set up for the Sports Day from the early morning on the day, explained the job duties to volunteers, had meetings with teachers and discussed about the details of the day for the preparation. All the hard work had paid off.

I felt everyone's support and helpfulness made the last event of the 3 Big Events, Kodomo No Ie Sports Day, successful by participated in the programs and seeing children's hard work. I would like to thank each and one of you for this successful event. Thank you very much.

Remembering the past school year:

The time flies so fast. This was my 2nd term as the Chairman of the PA and it is almost ending my duty. This past school year, I am very greateful of many parents' support through the Kodomo No Ie events. I especially would like to show my appreciation to three of the Vice Chairman who also became leaders for the each event, and those who are members of the board. I believe everyone was helping me out and support me in many occasions, had lots of discussions, and we made all those events successful. Also, I felt that I was surrounded by very supportive Class Mothers & Father. We were able to keep friendly atomosphere, exchanged great ideas, and fullfilled during our Monthly Class Mothers' Meetings. We were able to see many smiles from our children after each event. Now, this school is successfully ending. This is all because of the parents' support and willing to volunteer the jobs for PA Board. Thank you very much. I hope we can keep this wonderful atomosphere at Kodomo No Ie and continue to have the supportive board in the future.

Announcement

We are accepting nominations and volunteers for our 2016-2017 school year board members (President, Vice President, Secretaries, Treasures, and etc), Class Mothers for each class, Event Committees, and many other positions are available. If you would like to make this school for better place, help supporting the school for the children, increase 'Mama Tomo (Mommy Friends)', this is a great opportunity for you. Please do not hesitate to speak to a class mother or PA Board members if you are interested or just want to know the nature of the duties. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

From Fundraising Committee

Thank you very much for participating in Fundraising this school year.
We had $4575 profits from the fundraising this school year 2015. We were able to use the profit to fix our school yard this year. Thank you very much for your support.

We will try continuing to provide fundraising events which everyone enjoys and supports. Please show your continous support for the next school year. Thank you very much.
