From the Undokai Event Committee (Sports Day)

Last of the Three Main Events of KNI, Undokai or Sports Day, is coming up on 5/19 (Sun).
We would like to thank all of you who have signed up to volunteer at the beginning of the school year.

You should have received the email confirming your volunteer status for the event when you signed up. After the spring break, the Event Committee and the Class Mothers will be sending more emails explaining your responsibilities.

Undokai is KNI's largest event of the year, and we need as many help as we can get to make it successful. If your child joined KNI in the middle of the school year and did not have the opportunity to sign up to volunteer, or even those who have already volunteered in other events but are interested in lending a hand, please contact the Event Committee or the Class Mothers. Your help is greatly appreciated.

From KNI Bazaar Committee

3/16 was a very nice day and many people stopped by. We would like to thank all of you who came to the bazaar. With your support, we are able to reach our sales goal of $2,000.

This year, we received product donations from Nishimoto Trading and Mitsuwa Marketplace. We also received $100 for the event expenses from Union Bank of California. We would also like to thank all others who helped us in donations, making light snack and baked goods, making crafts, letting us borrow various things for the event, and volunteering on the day of the event. Thank you very much!

The proceeds will be used for purchasing end-of-the-year gift to KNI from the PTA and for the Great East Japan Earthquake relief fund.

Our bazaar is held only when there are people who are interested in contributing their time and effort. We are not sure if we will be having it next year, but if you are interested, please contact one of the Commitee members or Class Mothers.

Announcement

We are looking for those who are interested in working for the PTA Commitee, the Events Commitee, and the Class Mothers for next school year.

For the PTA Commitee, we are looking for : President (1), Vice Presidents (2-3), Secretaries (2-3), and Treasurers (2-3). There will be 2-3 Class Mothers per class. Events Commitee members will be organizing one or two of the Three Main Events of KNI (Christmas Party, Mochitsuki, and Undokai).

The monthly Class Mother meetings are friendly and relaxed, and it is a good opportunity for the children to play with the children from other classes. If you are interested, please contact one of the PTA committee members or the Class Mothers!

From Fundraising

You should have received the order form for our last fundraising event, the T-shirt sale. T-shirts can be worn in various school events, including the upcoming Undokai! Aprons were added per your request. Let's all wear the school T-shirt together and have fun! Last day to order is 4/13 (Sat). Don't miss it!!
