Time flies and now it's already December! December at KNI means the Christmas Pageant. The children have been practicing their songs and the nativity performance very hard. Please invite your family members, relatives and friends to come to see the children's adorable performances.

From the Events Committees

Have you finished making the photograph ornament and felt ornament? Due date is Friday, December 9th. Please turn them in if you already haven't.

We'd like to ask for donations of food and supplies for the Christmas Pageant and the Mochitsuki Event. Sign-up sheets are available by the Attendance Sheet. Please bring the donation items with your names on them by Tuesday, December 13th. A box for the donation items will be located in the playground. Thank you very much for your contributions.

We are still accepting donations for the refreshments at the Christmas Pageant. Baked goods made by the parents are welcome, too. Please contact a Christmas Event committee member or your Class Mother for more details.

Request and Reminder during the Christmas Pageant

In order for everyone in the audience seats to enjoy the performance, we ask you not to step into the aisles or stand up to take pictures during the performance.
You are welcome to take a photo during the rehearsal as well as the group photo session allotted after each class performance for about 5 minutes.
This year's Christmas Pageant will be recorded by our volunteer videographers, and available as a DVD for purchase. More information and the order sheet for a DVD went home with the children. The order form is due Friday, December 16th. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation about the photography restriction.

Annual Mochitsuki Event

Following the Christmas Pageant, our annual Mochitsuki Event is going to be held on Sunday, January 8th. This is a very popular event where you can enjoy Japanese traditional Mochi making. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

From the Fundraising Team

In the past three months, we have done three fundraising campaigns, including school T-shirts, Aspire catalogue order, and SCRIP. Thank you very much for your contribution. The proceeds from the past three and a half months are as follows:
- T-shirts Sale ... About $500
- Aspire ... About $300
- SCRIP ... about $650
- Recycling, Marukai Receipt, etc. ... about $1,500

We are planning to start another fundraising opportunity with a catalogue order. More information will come later.
