Dear Kodomo no Ie Students
During the spring break, I went to
Japan.
Even though it was already into April, it was still
cold and
Sakura hadn't blossomed yet.
I was in Kobe, which is located in western Japan, and it was so cold that I wondered how it was for people in the Tohoku area where the earthquake and tsunami hit since they probably had no heaters to keep them warm.
Do you remember that before the spring break began, you all made many different kinds of craft and sold them to your parents so that we could send money to people suffering in Japan? That money was
special money that you made through your work. The money totaled as much as
$500 and was sent to Japan already.
Imagine that the money you made will eventually reach to children who live in the affected area, and help them light up their hope even a little bit? Wouldn't that be wonderful? The thought makes me very happy.
I hope we can keep trying to do what we can to support those Japanese children.
Now, you might feel scared of earthquake or tsunami, but you don't need to worry at all because God, your daddy and mommy will protect you all the time.
