【Big Thank You!】


The 30th Anniversary Celebration was filled with smiles, tears and kindness.
We are so grateful that so many of you attended.
We thank all of you who contributed to and supported us holding this Anniversary Celebration with cash donations, raffle products, drinks and snacks.

Special thanks to Wismettac Asian Foods Inc., the KNI Parents Association, Ms. Miki Yokoyama (the designer of the 30th Anniversary Products), other companies and all KNI parents.

【30th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 8/19】


Celebration with Current Students


Check-in starts at 9:30am at the Sanctuary of the First UMC.
We will hold the anniversary celebration at the sanctuary from 10-10:30am followed by various fun events at the school yard.

-- Fun Events!
●Refreshment & Goodies for Kids (dagashi-snacks, shaved ice, ramune soda, toy balloon etc)
●Fun Games (toy-goldfish scooping, water gun play etc)
●Stamp Rally (Visit all the tables and collect the animal stamps to complete the KNI logo!)
●Photo Booth (Please take a memorable photos in front of the 30th anniversary photo banner.)
●30th Anniversary Items on Sale (Canvas & Denim Bags and T-shirts. New color available!)
●Raffle (Please hold a ticket you will get at the check-in to win a prize!)

Reunion with Alumni


Check-in starts at 4:30pm at the KNI entrance.
Participation Fee $10 per person (7 years and up). CASH ONLY.

We will hold the anniversary greetings from 5-5:30am followed by casual dinner gathering.

●Photo Booth (Please take a memorable photos in front of the 30th anniversary photo banner.)
●Album Exhibit (Please recall good & fun memories from the KNI's historical photo albums!)

*** Kind Reminder ***

●Any play structures & equipments including yagura, swings and sandbox are CLOSED on the day of the event.
●Please refrain from entering the school rooms except for the restrooms and the piano room where the school photos are displayed for viewing.
●For the parents and guardians, please use a portable toilet next to the school gate.
●Please prepare for the mosquitos flying around in the San Gabriel area this season if you are a mosquito magnet!

We are planning to have the “30th Anniversary Reunion” for alumni on Saturday, August 19th.

★30th Anniversary T-Shirts On Sale★


We are happy to announce the KNI 30th Anniversary Design T-Shirts are on sale!

Due: Saturday, April 22nd

Please find an order form in your child’s Otayori-basami, and place your order with the EXACT CHANGE in CASH in the box next to the attendance sheet.


Shirts are available in Toddler ($15), Youth ($15), and Adult ($17) sizes.

There are a total of 7 colors to choose from:

White / Black / Grey (All sizes)
Safety Green / Lavender (Toddler & Youth size only)
Soft Pink (Toddler size only) / Denim color (Youth size only).

The shirts are Relaxed Fit and styled after this year’s UNITED ARROWS most popular model.

Please see the samples of the shirts desplayed at the KNI's playground.

*Depending on your color choice, it could take 3-4 weeks to receive your T-shirts.
*The profit of these sales will be used for the 30th Anniversary event.

★KNI's 30th Anniversary Limited Design Tote Bag Sale★


We are happy to announce the sale of KNI 30th Anniversary Limited Design Tote Bags.

Sales start Wednesday, April 5th! Only 100 bags total!

Please bring EXACT CHANGE in CASH to the Office to purchase.


The image on the bag was designed by LA artist Miki Yokoyama whose two children attended KNI (Miki also drew the wall mural in the Piano room inspired by her memories of KNI).

Pop Factory, a Japanese owned and run company in the LA art district, printed the image on the high quality 100% cotton bags.

1. 40 Large-sized Tote bags in a Neutral color (21x16x15) - $12
2. 30 Small-sized Tote bags in a Neutral color (15 x 15 x 4) - $10
3. 30 Denim Tote bags (15 x 15 x 4) - $10
